Don't rush this journey
'you didnt gain this weight overnight, you sure arent going to lose it overnight.'
I think of this as a LIFELONG COMMITTMENT. This journey will never end, your going to be in it for the long haul. Even when we get to goal, we will still need to be OP to maintain, to keep this weight off. In order to get to goal, dont think of the -BIG PICTURE- its too overwhelming. I look at it as changing that magic middle number, ten pounds at a time.
Sometimes it gets to the point I 'rush' the weeks through so quickly that I dont realize my life is FLYING BY!!! Life is too short as it is, I dont want to add to that by hurrying the week through just to see if I had a loss or gain.

So my plan to fight the cravings, if I dont have the POINTS to use, I go and brush my teeth. :)
Everyone knows nothing tastes good after a nice minty brush.
Make it 'your time'
Going grocery shopping can be 'CRAZY' at times with the whole family, three kids and a spouse. I end up with things I didnt plan on, forgetting to get something that I actually needed or the famous kid pick, junk thrown in the cart without me realizing it until I get home.
I always feel rushed to get in and get out. So I have decided once or twice a month to go shopping ALONE! This may sound silly but I actually enjoy that quiet time to collect my thoughts and scope out any new 'food finds'. That way if I want, I can pick up every stinkin' brand of crackers *lol* just to see which one is lower in POINTS. By giving me this time alone, I finally found the 'famous Laughing Cow Cheese'. YEAAAAAA for my time! :o)~
No Pity Parties
Don't feel sorry for yourself being OP. "Its not fair, I have to count POINTS while others get to have anything they want and not worry." "Ohhh poor me, my life is yucky!" NONSENSE! Your life is good and its only going to get better.
Being on WW's FlexPoints you can eat like everyone else..TO A POINT..sure it maybe a lower calorie/fat version or you dont get as much as before. HEY its much better than drinking shakes, popping pills or having to leave out a whole food group just to get the scale to go down.

Hopping on the scale 3x a day or even once a day can drive a person INSANE!
I know its easier said than done, believe me Im working on this too, but we have to remember that scale-hopping is hazardous your weightloss attitude. The whole experience begins to snowball after that first quick peek. First you get up in the morning and take a peek and think heyyy not bad....next day lets see what the scale reads today OHHH NOOO Im up a pound how is that? what happened? Then you start to make yourself crazy with what did I do, this cant be right ect. ect. Then before you know it you are weighing yourself morning noon and night.
Our weight fluctuates, not only daily but hourly. The best key is to stick with once a week , same day and time on the same scale and go with it, it will be the most accurate reading.

My favorite late night treat is fat free vanilla carmel sundae pudding cups with a dab of fat free cool whip. For two points YUM is it good. Its so good that sometimes i am so INTO IT that it seems like ive taken about three bites and its gone!! My trick with this and pretty much anything i have to eat with a utensil is USE A BABY SPOON or fork!!!! You will not believe the difference it makes. That cup of pudding that lasted three bites has now ended up being 2-3x's more and its WONDERFUL!! Now if i can just get my youngest daughter to realize that im feeding MYSELF with her silverware than feeding her, things would be much smoother!! LOL :D

MY LEGS were once two hairy sticks that weren't very good at jump rope but by the time i reached the age of algebra they had come into their own and now in spin class they are revered, envied for their strength honored for their beauty hairless for the most part except that place the razor misses just behind the ankles. I have THUNDER THIGHS. And thats a compliment because they are strong and toned and muscular and though they are unwelcome in the petite section they are cheered on in marathons. Fifty years from now ill bounce a grandchild on my thunder thighs and then ill go out for a run. JUST DO IT...nikewomen.com
