JOURNAL
~~~~HERE IS A SAMPLE OF A TYPICAL WEEKDAY FOR ME ~~~~
*****BREAKFAST***** 2-4 POINTS 32ozs. of WATER
*****LUNCH***** 5-7 POINTS 32ozs. of WATER
*****DINNER***** 10-12 POINTS 32ozs. of WATER
*****SNACK***** 1-2 POINTS 32ozs. of WATER
*****TOTAL FOR THE DAY: 20-25 is my Winning Points Range. I have decided to switch back to WPs Range instead of a Target...i felt that i lost more of my weight using this method rather than with Flex...for me i feel that Flex lets me 'binge' more and the weightloss slowed down...basically its about the same only instead of 35 flex i only have 21.
.....................3 FRUITS......2 VEGGIES.....2 DAIRY
.....................3-32oz glasses of WATER with each meal for a total of 96ozs....and sometimes an additional 32ozs of WATER here and there.
WATER
All I can say about this is......D R I N K, D R I N K, D R I N K!!!!!
I personally drink around 96ozs. of water daily. Drinking is not a problem for me, I drink ALL THE TIME! I think I was a fish in my past life :)
I do have diet sodas and ice tea sweetened with Splenda or Sweet n' Low. When I go out for fast food I get a diet soda. When I go to a sit down dinner, I get water or ice tea depending on my mood. When I am at home I drink water.
*** 'On the go' sticks are really great if you cant stand the thought of just plain water and the best part NO EXTRA CALORIES are added so they are ZERO POINT TREATS plus your getting in your water requirements!
FITNESS
I enjoy working out with Denise Austin on the Lifetime Channel. Her program is thirty minutes and she works a different part of the body each week.
She starts with an AM stretch of yoga. Then moves into a cardio/Fat Burner. Followed by her special segment of a specific body part(healthy back, arms and chest, abs, hips and thighs or buns). Then finishes off with a cool down of yoga.
I like her program because its always different, unlike a VHS/DVD, same workout day in day out, that gets B O R I N G!!!! Yeah I do sometimes get tired of hearing her 'whisper' to me but thats why they invented the mute button on the TV *smiles*
I have re-joined CURVES as of March 2007....i could really tell i was lacking in the toning department. Even though I get bored with the same circuit, i look at it this way...its only three times a week, for thirty minutes each day, and its SUPER beneficial for me, it keeps me accountable, which i need EXTREMELY!!!!!!!
I am always experimenting to find the perfect combination for my WINNING OUTCOME.
Losing weight is like building a campfire.
In order to keep the fire/metabolism, going you must add wood/food.
If you dont keep adding wood/food to the fire/metabolism, it will go out/starvation mode.
And with humans, once that takes place your body will begin to think that you wont feed it anytime soon. So it begans to hold onto what you fed it last and stores it as fat.
Thats why it is important to eat small all through the day and to eat ATLEAST your min. required POINTS to keep the body happy and losing.
If the body knows that you will feed it more often it will then decide to get rid of the previous food to make room for the new food, therefore we begin to lose weight :o)
